Walnut and cherry construction with a unique wood tone ring of cherry. I wanted a light weight and fancy banjo, so I minimized the use of metal parts. The tension hooks seat in a flange turned into the rim and the pot and neck are held together with an ebony wedge. The shellac finish has a matte appearance and is silky to the touch. The pearl inlays have a hunting theme with an arrow, boar's head and prints, a star, and a deer antler. Also included is a handmade leather and suede strap. It is a very beautiful and fine sounding instrument! You can hear Judy and Dean Robinson play Five Miles Miles from Town and Citico on Youtube. Five Miles From Town Citico Dean plays solo on Jeff City
