11" Openback Walnut and Birdseye Maple Slot-Head

This banjo has an 11" rim with a wooden tonering of katalox, a walnut pot and a birdseye maple buttom cap.  It is an Ashborn flange model and has a fiberskyn head, No-knot tailpiece, hand made bridge, and a custom made walnut and birdseye maple armrest.  The neck is  walnut with a strip and heel cap of birdseye maple and a 25.5" scale length.  The slot-head headstock also has a birdseye maple face plate and 2 on a plate tuners with black buttons.  The 5th string tuner is a Gotoh with a black button.   I did some nice inlays on this one, with a deer skull of white and black pearl and black pearl antlers which extend up onto the headstock.  There are also deer tracks at the 3rd and 5th frets and a black pearl compass on the 7th fret.  A star is in the 10th and a dot at the 12th fret.  There are also pearl side dots, 17 EVO frets for long wear, and a frailing scoop with an exposed truss rod nut.  I also added a hand made soft leather strap.  I am loving the sound of this instrument.  I made it with the intention of keeping it for myself, and someone will need to make me "an offer I can't refuse" to get it!  You can hear it as my wife and I play Indian War Whoop on Youtube.
