12" Maple with Removable Resonator

This is a beautiful one of a kind banjo with great tone and volume.  The pot is curly maple with a wood tonering and a walnut cap at the bottom.  It has a unique removable resonator that twists on and off and is locked on with a single thumb screw. The resonator is also made of beautiful curly maple with a small sound hole framed in walnut.  The neck is the same wood combination of curly maple with walnut accents and has a 1 3/8" nut width and a very thin, slight "V" profile that is very comfortable to play.  The position markers are a combination of black and gold pearl triangles which combine into a square shape for each marker.  In the headstock, a "craftsman rose" pattern of black and gold pearl and abalone is inlayed into the ebony veneer.  The nut is bone and the neck has 17 frets and a frailing scoop with an exposed truss rod nut.  All of the hardware is raw brass and the frets are long wearing EVO gold wire.  The tuners are raw brass Gotohs.  I put a coffee stained goat skin head on this one for a very pure sound and a custom matching maple armrest to keep your arm off of it.  The 12" pot really gives this banjo power and volume without sacrificing nuance and great tone.
