11" Walnut and Birdseye Maple Openback with Walnut Tonering

This banjo was played by Victor Furtado in the 2015 banjo finals at Clifftop when he won that event.  It is a beautiful and simple banjo with a walnut pot and tonering and birdseye maple accents.  The pot has an Ashborn style flange and a birdseye maple cap at the bottom.  The hardware is all nickel including Gotoh 2 band tuners, a comfortable armrest, and No-Knot tailpiece.  The head is a Renaissance and the bridge is maple and ebony.  The neck is also walnut and birdseye maple with a maple strip down the center.  It also has an ebony headstock veneer with an engraved star, a hard cow bone nut, ebony fretboard with 17 EVO gold alloy frets for long wear, and a scoop with an exposed 2-way truss rod nut.  The finish is hand rubbed shellac for a silky smooth feel.  It is a fine sounding instrument.  Victor used this banjo when he played Richmond as his second tune  in the championship.  You can hear the tune by following this link,  Victor Furtado Clifftop Finals.
