11" Walnut and Curly maple Openback with Round Rod Tonering

This is a beautiful banjo with a walnut pot with curly maple accents.  Because the round brass rod tonering is seated in a groove in the walnut rim, the tone is less bright than some metal tonering banjos and the tone is very sweet.  I used a Fiberskyn head, No-Knot tailpiece, and a maple and ebony bridge.  All of the hardware is nickel, including a Gotoh 5th string tuner.  The neck is also walnut and curly maple, with a maple stripe and heel cap.  In addition, it has a slot-head headstock with an ebony veneer and 16:1 guitar style tuners.  The neck has a 25.5" scale and a 1.375" nut width.  I used 17 frets of EVO gold alloy for long wear and I added a scoop with an exposed 2-way truss rod nut.
