11" Maple Resonator Banjo with Whyte Laydie Tonering

This is another fine example of my bluegrass offering. It has a maple block rim, Whyte Laydie tonering, and wooden dowel stick construction. The head is a Remo and the tailpiece is an adjustable Kershner model. I custom built the flange from 2 plys of walnut and 1 ply of  birdseye maple to reduce weight. The neck has a "speed neck" finish, (stained, oiled, and waxed). The ebony fingerboard has abalone dots for markers except at the 12th fret, which has 2 pearl dots. The side dots are pearl. The ebony headstock veneer has a pair of crossed arrows with abalone shafts, white pearl fletchings and gold pearl broadheads. This is a very fine instrument!
