Banjo SN 0015

This is the first White Laydie banjo I've made in a while.  I love the growl and sustain of that tone ring.  You can see detailed pictures of this banjo on the Gallery page and hear me playing a great Mississippi tune called Going up to Hamburg below.

Banjo SN 0011

I recently completed another lightweight banjo model.  This one is constructed of curly maple and cherry and has a turned flange for the hooks and also a turned tone ring.  The sound is beautiful! Detailed pictures are available from the Gallery page.  Hear Frank Lee accompany Judy Robinson on Old Joe Bone with this banjo below.

Hear the Last of Harris on SN 0011 below.

Lightweight Banjo SN 0009

My new favorite banjo is a beautiful walnut and cherry model with a turned wooden tonering. The pot has a ledge turned into it to replace the normal "L" shoes and keep the weight down. The neck and pot are held together by an ebony wedge. The banjo has beautiful inlays inspired by my love of hunting. There are detailed pictures on the Gallery page. See and hear it on You Tube below!

Here is Greasy Coat played on Gourd Banjo SN 0001.

Here is Sandy River Belles on a 5 string conversion of an old Lyric pot.
